Builder’s Remedy does not skip the entitlement process- it goes through it. EIR, ARB, Planning Commission, City Council, Coastal Commission. Here is where the project stands and what comes next.

  1. COMPLETEDECEMBER 2024

    Preliminary Application Filed

    Filed under Housing Accountability Act before Housing Element certification. Vested rights under AB 1886.

  2. COMPLETEDECEMBER 2025

    Application deemed complete

    City staff confirms application is complete. Triggers formal review process.

  3. IN PROGRESSAPRIL 13 2026

    EIR consultant contract

    Carpinteria City Council scheduled to approve contract for environmental consultant to prepare the Environmental Impact Report.

  4. ~6–12 MONTHS

    Environmental Impact Report

    CEQA review under the city as lead agency. Formal public comment period opens.
